operation honeymoon re-do Day 1

ok so Cris and I didn't really have a honeymoon last year cause I got sick on our wedding day. So we decided to try to have a "re-do". Cris has Family that live in Greenville, California. They have a cabin and a little apartment that we can stay in. Now for those of you who don't know where that is, it's where the little green star is.

To tell you a little bit about this area it is total backwoods country. the population of Greenville is 1,129 and that lower then their pop. in 2000. As you can imagine we kinda had the town to ourselves haha jk.

Anyway back to our trip, this year we decided to take kujo with us (Cris's dog) and we probably won't ever do that again. I'll tell you what happened on June 25, these are true stories.
We woke up to go to a early meeting at work on our day off and at around 7 we packed up our car and went to get Kujo. This is how he looked for the whole 2 hours we were driving.
Now some of you might be thinking... "that drive has to be more then 2 hours." Well you would be right! The drive takes about 3 and a half hours but on our way out of Oroville, we had a big problem going into the canyon. Our car overheated. Badly. So there we were Husband, Wife, and Dog, sitting on the side of the road trying to think of what to do, when our hero comes along. We call him Jesus. Now we call him this 1- because he looked just like him and 2- because he saved us. He towed us to "The Dome Store" this is what the people around there call it. Is that the name of the store? No. So when you call people to get you from this "store" don't call it by it's real name you call it the dome store.
It looks so lonely just sitting there. Luckily we learned from our last trip that My Verizon gets reception here and Cris's AT&T didn't. So armed with our Verizon phones we call EVERYONE with a truck to try and see if they can help us out while we try to reach Cris's Aunt Linda and Uncle Freddie. Sadly no one could help and we waited at this country "store" for 2 hours. Now this place gets lots of traffic and not the good kind... lets just say there was a lot of beer coming out of the "store" and a lot of people walking in smoking weed. We were even offered some cause Kujo was so darn cute. But we finally reached Linda and Freddie and they saved the day!
To end our perfect day, we had an amazing dinner that people don't get to have often Bison Burgers! Sadly I don't have a picture of that but it was really good and I would encourage you to try it some time!
