Getting to know you part 2

So the Questions have come in and Cris and I are ready to answer them! Here we go!

Q- What kind of leisure activities do you two do together?
A- We do lots of things. We go for walks, we always shop together, and we have lots of  movies nights.

Q- What do you like about Cris and what does Cris like about you?
A- Nicole- I love Cris' sense of humor. Never a dull moment.
A- Cris- Nicole is super funny and really really smart, she always has good ideas.

Q-How did you meet?
A-We went to church together and had some of the same friends. To read more go to this post here.

Q- Nicole-How did Cris Propose? Cris- What was going through your mind?
A-Cris took me out to the country side in a small town called Rio Vista ( I love it there!). We went out to a field and stargazed. After about ten mins I knew something was up cause he wasn't talking. After I had stopped trying to start a conversation he turned to me and asked if I would marry him and I said yes...
A- Cris- Honestly, I knew she would say yes. We were dating for about a week before we started talking about marriage. We only waited because we knew our families would freak out. So I wasn't nervous or anything, but I was trying to make it something special or romantic.

Q-What has been the hardest part of your marriage and how did you resolve it?
A- Nicole- For me the hardest part of the 2 years we have been married was moving... I am so attached to my family it was really hard to leave them. But I know that Cris is always here for me when I need him and we need to be here to progress with our lives.
A-Cris- My problem wasn't moving, it was staying still. As newlyweds, we had (and have) very little money and the job we had didn't provide us with enough to get out and start building a life. I wanted to get out and stop spinning my wheels. The longer we got there, the more I just felt tense and like my life was wasting away.

Q- Do you really have a Tortoise? If so why do you have one? What kind is it? What's it's name?
A- Yes we do have one. I only have one cause Cris got it before we were married. Bowser (thats his name) is a Sulcata Tortoise, it's like the 3rd or 4th largest in the world.
A- Cris- 3rd largest, in tortoise species, but 1st largest terrestrial tortoise species... not that anyone cares. I've always been an animal person. When we have the means, I've got a list of animals I'd love to track down, many of them reptiles. I can't explain it, but there's just something so fascinating to me about them.

Q- What is something that reminds you of home?
A- At night I can hear the train. My dad has model trains that we get out every year around Christmas time and his trains make noise and whistle sounds. Also I lived close enough to a train stop in Fairfield, I would always hear the whistles blow.

Q- Favorite Home cooked meal?
A- My Dad's Spaghetti. It's to die for!
A- Cris - Same. I love that spaghetti.
