I have always wanted to know everything about my Family History... EVERYTHING! But every time I look for stuff on the Willey side everything is done they are just on the hunt to find missing links and more family. So all those church talks about doing your genealogy would go in one ear and out the other. But then I got married to a convert. And now I have a whole book full of family names just waiting to be done. Just one problem, I have no idea what so ever where to start!
Whats that you said? Start from the beginning?... Which beginning?... Do I have to get permission from people still? How do you get the little temple cards? How do you know if their work has been done already?
I have figured out a way to do this... I need to Major in Family History... I hope Cris gets into BYU-Provo so I can learn from my aunt what needs to be done, she Graduates on Friday. It is such a blessing to have Family History work done. To be able to pass stories down from generation to generation... I can't think of a better Major for a Mother to Major in....
I hope all of us go out this month and learn a little about our families, even if it is just sitting and talking with a Grandparent, or an Aunt or Uncle and learn something new.
